Views of the USS Enterprise (CVAN-65), heavily damaged by fire, and helicopter evacuation of a wounded sailor
Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. USS Enterprise moves slowly in the water. Views from an airborne helicopter of destruction from fire on the deck of the USS Enterprise. Burned out planes and portions of the deck caved in and shredded. Burned-out hulks of many aircraft parked on the flight deck area. Fire hoses on deck. Men walk across deck. Damaged wing section of a KA-3B visible, and hulk of a RA-5C visible. Green shirts working all over the flight deck assessing damage. A injured sailor is carried on a stretcher to a waiting US Air Force CH-3B helicopter that has landed on the ship. Men bend over the litter carrying the injured person. Men lift up the litter and put it in the helicopter. US Air Force written over the tail section of the helicopter. The helicopter takes off for Oahu mainland. Location: Pearl Harbor Hawaii. Date: January 14, 1969.
