Canadian navy members involved in “Proud Boys” incident at Indigenous ceremony

The Canadian navy has confirmed all 5 men involved in the “Proud Boys” incident at an Indigenous ceremony on Canada Day in Halifax are servicemen.

In a statement today, the armed forces said it needs to “attract, recruit and retain the best and brightest from across the entire Canadian demographic – our futures depend on it… Unfortunately, some of our sailors and soldiers have not progressed as far up the curve to have made the necessary mind shift that leads to deep institutional change.”
