Bone found near site of Sewol-ho ferry sinking confirmed as missing passenger

Turning to ongoing the search for the remains of the missing passengers of Sewol-ho.
A bone fragment found underwater at the site where the ferry capsized…. has been confirmed as belonging to Goh Chang-suk… — a teacher at Danwon High School and one of the nine passengers unaccounted for.
The first piece of human bone recovered from the site less than 2 weeks ago was put through a DNA test.
The results were out much faster than anticipated.
Officials said it could take up to a month.
Bone fragments believed to be from humans continue to be found inside the vessel as well.
These pieces have also been sent for testing.
The tragic ferry capsized in waters near Jindo in 2014… taking 30 lives with it.
It was salvaged from the sea and brought onto dry land at Mokpo New Port last month.
